67 Steps by Tai Lopez, 7-14

I’m checking out the 67 steps by Tai Lopez and friends.  I am keeping a log of the process as I go.

Please be aware that while I will attempt to give truthful and helpful reviews/writings of my personal experiences with 67 Steps, I am signed up for the affiliate program.  Being signed up in the affiliate program means that I will receive a commission if someone follows the links on this page and signs up for the course.

This is Part 3. Here are Part 1. Here’s Part 2, and Part 4

Table of Contents

I’ve been doing the 67 Steps course for about 2 weeks now.  I’m still looking forward to future classes (there’s a new class released each day).  I’m probably about 1 day behind.  I would still recommend the course to people.  It’s a good value, though after about a week and a half, it’s starts to be a fairly big commitment.  I’m excited to see how learning and considering the ideas shared by Tai Lopez will positively affect my life.

Highlights of the last week

  • Be self-reliant/overcome learned helplessness
  • Integrate the different aspects of your life.  Integrate the health, wealth, love and happiness parts of your life.
  • Simulate the future to speed up your learning process
  • Get tougher/be willing to grind it out
  • Understand your biology
  • Focus on your strengths
  •
  • Prepare for Change

Basically, Tai talks about a bunch of different stuff in relation to living the good life.  His main points are a follows:

  1. Integrate the different areas of your life to make the whole greater than the sum of the parts.  Look for how you can better integrate the different parts of health, wealth, love and happiness into your day-to-day life.
  2. Understand where human culture and biology have evolved from and learn to make the best of your instincts and biological hard-wiring.
  3. Be willing to work hard/grind it out and build on your strengths.  Develop your hard skills and intangible skills.  Enjoy life but invest for the future by toughening up.
  4. Learn from other people (via books, mentors, videos, audio) so you don’t have to repeat the same mistakes that have been done in the past.  Also learn how to anticipate possible future scenarios so you can prepare for the most likely.
  5. Reflect on your own and realize where you have accepted false beliefs that limit your life.  Overcome your negative mental programming.
  6. Focus on your strengths and what you love/like as opposed to what you lust after.  For example, Michael Jordan always wanted to be a baseball player, but chose to become a basketball player because he was better at basketball.

Books

I ordered Salt Sugar Fat: How the Food Giants Hooked Us and The Power of Habit: Why We Do What We Do in Life and Business.

One of the action items in the last week was to commit to reading (Tai Lopez style) a book a week, a book every few days or a book a day.  I committed to reading a book every 3 days.

I also received a bunch of books I ordered from about 10 days ago.

Looking forward to Steps 15-21

I’ve been keeping pretty good notes, in general and plan to continue.  I’m looking forward to getting through the program and having the 67 Steps/Tai Lopez perspective.  So far the course has been great.

Over 2 months, and I think most people would struggle to keep up with the pace of doing the course everyday AND writing in the journal AND taking notes.  If you are drive/commute 45-60 minutes a day, then listening while commuting would be a good way to integrate listening to the course into one’s life. Just download the course to your mobile device and/or stream as you go. (You can also select a faster speed for the video player)

I’m planning on doing about one a day this week.  I’ll probably listen while I do chores such as cleaning and organizing.  If I hear something important, I’ll take notes.
