“Feels so good to be alive, baby!”
One of my favorite people on YouTube, Ralph Smart, says this and it does feel really good to say it aloud.
I was watching one of his videos the other day and he also mentioned the first thing he does in the morning when he wakes up – being grateful to be alive.
I believe he says, “feels so good to be alive baby,” right when he wakes up!
What do I like to remind myself about being grateful? That I am grateful for a lot.
While there’s lots of bigger picture gratefulness I can think of (health, wealth, love and happiness), here’s some “smaller” music things I am grateful for at the moment!
What are some of the things (in music, in life, etc) that you might be grateful for?
Music Gratefulness
- To be able to play an in-tune guitar
- To get to play guitar
- To get to play piano
- To be able to easily record
- To have a working metronome
- To be able to listen to so much great music
- To have met so many great people through music
- To all the people who have taught me music, including my elementary choir and band teachers 🙂
- To get to play music with people
- To be able to learn to sing, at least a little better
- To get to play drums!
- While I am excited to be able to play cool new stuff, I am gratefull for what I am currently playing
Sometimes I feel stressed out, or frustrated/angry – and not so grateful.
So, I understand feeling frustrated.
But it does feel good to relax a little bit (at least my shoulders, which I do sometime tense up in general, and when I am playing music), think of stuff I am grateful for!
Full of Greatness = Greatful = Grateful
I never really thought of this before, but perhaps a person feeling grateful is a realization that one is full of greatness 🙂
I tend to be in the camp of person that thinks everyone (scientifically) is an amazing entity. Just the fact that we are here on this amazing planet is miraculous!
Anyways, just thought I’d share this. All the best, take care and hope you all have a great and greatfull day!
