Hey everyone!
Hope this finds you all well, all things considered.
Best wishes to everyone! Especially in terms of health, wealth and love!
I try to view music and life in terms of aligning with truth, love and power. I’m far from perfect, but I believe aligning with truth, love and power does create beautiful, good outcomes.
Here’s a video I made that may relate:
Truth in Public Discourse
In relation to a lot of perspectives we find in narrative, media, and in general, I try to keep in mind that most perspective do have some truth. But almost based on the laws of reality, no human can truly see/understand/know 100% of truth about everything.
I do think a person can attempt to tell/find/understand truth as that person perceives it. And I think some narratives can have more truth.
In terms of the media, I think a lot of the larger sources of stories about what’s going on around the world have a lot of truth.
But once I’ve started listening to several different perspectives, I’ve noticed that most news sources provide a lot of truth. But they also seem to skip important aspects to the storyline, sometimes out of out (possibly) cognitive biases.
Also, I try to remember that sometimes it takes times to understand more aspects of what’s going on. What may seem the correct perspective at first, may actually be somewhat misleading when other truths come to light.
Granted, to provide all aspects of a story is virtually impossible. But it is possible to provide a lot of the story. And the intent to tell, seek and understand the truth and nothing but the truth does count for a lot, too.
Love in Public Discourse
In terms of truth, love and power in relation to public discourse (and in general), all 3 are important, and the 3 combined together create great outcomes.
Along with attempting to tell the truth and all of the truth (in order of what’s most important), relating the story in a way that is loving and compassionate to all parties, I believe, is important in order to align with a perspective of truth, love and empowerment.
Having compassion for others (and oneself) allows the story to be more loving.
Empowerment in Public Discourse
Ideally, news (and discourse) would be designed to be empowering to all parties involved.
This empowerment in public discourse could be in such a way that it provides ideas to improve the situation on an individual level.
Simple, but Challenging
While something may be a simple idea, like truth, love and power, it may be still very challenging to actually perform consdiently in this way.
In any case, it’s worth it to pursue a path aligned with truth, love and power.
If you’re interested in learning more about truth, love and power, please check out Steve Pavlina, he’s the one who discovered the idea.
Thanks for and best wishes to everyone in all their endeavours!
