Adopting a Back-To-Eden (BTE) style garden has inspired the author to utilize wood chips in their urban and suburban gardens for creating pathways, mulching, and improving soil health. Although not implementing a full BTE garden due to space constraints, wood chips have been beneficial for moisture retention, weed control, and adding nutrients. Experiences include using wood chips to combat high lead soil levels and densely planting fruit trees in pots. The author emphasizes the importance of learning from nature and advises checking information before applying it to your own garden.
