1. The Chord Changes
D minor/A7/A7/D minor
2. Practice Slow to Learn Fast!
3. First learn the Tumbao & Montuno(s) Separately
4. Practice with a metronome, Backing track and/or clave
5. Combine the montuno & Tumbao play either montuno or Tumbao fully & add the other one in parts
6. (Daily) Practice Makes Progress

These are some suggested steps to learning to play this montuno/tumbao example/estudio. I sort of came up with it … it is basically intended to sound like a classic style lick.
